Pedigree Grading Rubric
	Poor 6 pts	Fair 8 pts	Good 10 pts
Pedigree Research	Poor Less than 20 family members were interviewed and fewer than 4 traits were researched. Parent/guardian did not sign your sheet. Form was not filled in completely.	Fair Either too few family members were interviewed or there were too few traits researched.	Good The correct number of family members was interviewed about each of four traits. The research form was filled in and signed by parent/guardian.
Pedigree Construction	Poor The pedigrees are sloppy, incorrectly filled in, or missing.	Fair The pedigrees are all present and have very few mistakes.	Good The pedigrees are neatly drawn and filled in correctly for each trait.
Pedigree Presentation	Poor The speaker mumbled, paused, and clearly did not practice for the presentation. Unable to answer questions from the audience.	Fair The speaker spoke about a trait, not completely sure of what they were saying. Couldn't answer questions well.	Good The speaker was clear, able to answer questions about their pedigree.
