Level One

Poem appears to be thoughtless or rushed. Work is very repetitive, and ideas are repeated and do not represent the story correctly.
Level Two

The poem is creative, but appears to be rushed. This is evident in the poet's redundancy.
Level Three

Poem is thoughtful and creative. A couple of phrases or ideas may be revisited, but the overall product is carefully written and planned out.
Level Four

Poems is creative and original. It is evident that the poet put thought into the lines chosen and innovatively conveyed their ideas and emotions.
Form

Level One

Poem is not written in the proper forms, ultimately diminishing the poetic value.
Level Two

Poem is somewhat written in the proper forms, while others stray significantly. .
Level Three

Poem is written according to directions but are not complete.
Level Four

Poem is complete and follows its intended form.
Attractiveness

The poem is distractingly messy or very poorly designed. Not typed as required.

The poem is acceptably attractive though it may be a bit messy and not typed.

The poem is attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness. It is typed as required.
