Good Student's writing is mostly relelvant to the topic and storybook chosen and uses at least one detail from the book in the postcard message.	Fair Student's writing is somewhat relevant to the topic of the storybook, but does not include a detail from the story.	Needs Improvement Student's writing is not related to the storybook chosen and does not contain any relevant detail from the story.
Sentence Structure	Great The student wrote at least two sentences that vary in length. Grammar and spelling are mostly correct (0-3). Punctuation is evident and correct.	Good The students wrote two sentences that are about the same length. Grammar and spelling are somewhat correct with several errors (4-6). Punctuation is evident and correct.	Fair Students wrote at least one sentence with grammar and spelling that has between many errors (7-10). Punctuation is made but incorrect.	Needs Improvement Student did not write in complete sentences, use puncturation, and has many errors (10+).
