Mr. Dabroski's Earth Science Class Participation Grade 
Class Participation Grade
All students are expected to participate in class! I do understand that some students are shy and participate in ways other than class discussion. Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion. Although this is a primary form of participation, coming oth the teacher and other students.

Student NEVER engages in Bullying, Boisterous behavior, Disrespectful behavior. Always has a good attitude. Voluntarily begins "Do Now". NEVER uses cell phone in class.

Student usually has a positive attitude, NEVER engages in bullying.
Student speaks over others once or twice.
NEVER uses cell phone in class.
Fair

Student sometimes crosses boundaries but shows remorse for his/her actions.
Student has used her/his cell phone once or twice.
Unsatisfactory

Student repeatedly crosses boundaries with little or no remorse.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR

Participates in class.
Excellent

Student often asks questions, participates in class and/or group discussions. Voluntarily takes out class work.
Good

Student sometimes asks questions, and participates in class/group discussions. Voluntarily takes out class work.
Fair

Student rarely participates in class, struggles with class/group discussions. Often needs reminding to stay on task.
Unsatisfactory

Student never participates in class, does not participate in class/group discussions. Often puts head down.

Brings all materials.
Excellent

Student is always prepared for class with required materials. Student takes notes without being prompted to.
Good

Student is usually prepared for class with required materials. Student may need to be prompted to take notes.

Student is frequently unprepared for class with required materials. Student may need to be prompted to take notes.

Student is almost always unprepared for class with required materials. Student needs to be prompted to take notes.
