Dynamics and Tempo	Very Good Dynamics and tempo are clearly understood by the student.	Good Dynamics and tempo are understood by the student.	Fair Dynamics and tempo are relatively understood by the student.	Unsatisfactory The student misunderstands dynamics and tempo. Needs to be resubmitted.
Pitch Notation	Very Good All pitches are written neatly using proper barline placement.	Good Most pitches are written clearly using the proper barline placement.	Fair Pitches are mostly written clearly, but barline placement is often incorrect.	Unsatisfactory Pitches are written in a sloppy and illegible manner. Barline placement is not correct. Needs to be resubmitted.
Meter and Rhythm	Very Good All measures have the correct number of beats and a variety of rhythms are used. Including the use of Whole, Half, Quarter, eighth. and sixteenth notes and rests.	Good 85% of measures have the correct number of beats and a variety of rhythms are used. Including the use of Whole, Half, Quarter, and eighth notes and rests.	Fair 70% of the measures have the correct number of beats. Rhythms are very basic and do not expand beyond quarter notes and rests.
