Homework Rubric Each marking period the homework that will be given will be graded by this rubric. At the end of the term all of the homework are added together to equal an extra test grade. If a student gets a score of 4 on 70% of every homework they will get an extra test grade of 100. Complete and on time	Poor No evidence of understanding. Not submitted on time.	Fair Limited evidence of assignment completion. Half of the work done with some understanding.	Good Most of the assignment is done. Submitted on time.	Excellent Assignment is complete and submitted on time.
Proper sentence structure and flow of words.	Poor Thoughts are not clear and evident.	Fair Limited work is shown. Limited evidence of independent work.	Good Thoughts are clear and the words in the sentence represent what you want to say.	Excellent Sentences are structured well and there is a good flow between sentences.
Check for accuracy Re-read for spelling and sentence intent. All aspects of question answered.	Poor No evidence of re-reading your work. Words are poorly spelled.	Fair Some sentences are structured properly. Some words are properly spelled.	Good Not more than 5 spelling errors in the assignment. Your sentences make sense.	Excellent Proper demonstration of writing skills.
Neatness	Poor Work is crushed. Writing appears hurried. Poor penmanship.	Fair Work is somewhat legible. Able to understand intent.	Good Work is neat and a precise effort was put forth.	Excellent Work is neat and well presented. Time and effort was spent on this task.
