This rubric will evaluate the participation of a student based on preparedness, behavior, attitude, attendance, and social interaction.

Student usually completes research and/or is ready with required materials for the class. Student has done required assignments and is ready for class.

Student sometimes completes research and/or has materials. Student has completed some assignments and is sometimes ready for class.
Poor
Student did not complete required research and/or assignments. Student contributed little or nothing at all to the overall activity.

Student attends most classes on time. Student often stays for the duration of the class time.

Student does not come to class or is significantly late. Student often leaves class early.

Student is positive about the activities being learned in class and sets the example for students around him/her.

Student is positive about the activities being done in class.

Student exhibits mixed feelings around the class, both positive and negative.

Student has exhibits a negative attitude that impacts the class environment.

Excellent
Student respects and encourages the views of others. Student asks questions or clarification. Student builds on others comments.
Above Average
Body and/or verbal responses indicate active listening. Student asks questions and build on others comments.
Average
Student sometimes pays attention to the group discussion. Student sometimes ask questions and builds on others comments.
Poor
Student frequently interrupts and does not respect the views of others.
