Poetry Anthology 
Students will create a poetry anothology that will include 10 original poems: 2 free verse, 2 haiku, 2 acrostic, 2 picture poems, and 2 limericks OR 2 cinquains OR one limerick and one cinquiain. At least one poem will be written in the voice of someome other than the poet. Each poem must have 2 poetic devices and in the collection the student must use metaphor, simile, personifications, allusion rhyme, allieteration and omomatopeia at least once. Your anthology must also include an intruduction about the student poet. The introduction must include some biographical information about the poet and some explanation about why the poet used a particular theme or themes in the poems and why they used particular types of poetic devices. Students will also include some type of art form ( original or otherwise) that best represents each poem type.

Assignment incomplete. Lacking imagery and poetic devices. Does not illustrate a clear understanding of the types of poems studied. Illustrations are missing or do not make connections to the poems.
