Hypothesis Student should be able to make predictions about the out come of their experiment.	Unsatisfactory No attempt to make predictions.	Poor Predictions were not thought out or expressed.	Good Has completed and shows a clear understanding of their predictions.	Outstanding Has completed and shows an oustanding understanding of prediction making.
Experimental procedure Students should show a safe and correct procedure with the experiment tools and items.	Unsatisfactory Does not use safe experiment behavior.	Poor Shows little regard for safety during experiment.	Good Shows a good techinque and uses safe behavior during experiment.	Outstanding Shows an oustanding techinque and understanding towards safety.
Recording of findings A student should record the results of their experiment as they proceed, to document the process and findings.	Unsatisfactory No attempt at recording findings.	Poor Findings were only minimally recorded and only some steps were documented.	Good Documentation of findings are completed and show a clear understanding of the experiment and results.
