Participation	Poor Student avoids class participation, is unwilling to try using Spanish.	Good Student comments or uses Spanish when asked but does not volunteer.	Excellent Student participates actively in the dialogue and asks questions; comments are elaborated, and Spanish is used whenever possible.
Preparation	Poor Student is not prepared for class, no homework is completed.	Good Homework is partially completed or student is not prepared to discuss it.	Excellent All homework is complete and student comes to class ready to discuss.
