For Black History Month, the student is to research, write, and present a biography on an important historical figure. This biography includes information on the person's early life, what lead them to their chosen career or purpose, what contributions they made to society, 3-5 interesting or unique facts about the person, and the student's own reflections about the impact that the person and their contributions have on modern times.
