Length of story/poem/song	Poor The story/song/poem is not nearly close to the length required in the project's directions.	Fair The story/song/poem is somewhat close to the length required in the project's directions.	Good The story/song/poem is very close to the length required in the project's directions.	Excellent The story/song/poem is at or exceeds the length required in the project's directions.
Grammatical Content and Analysis	Poor The grammatical content and analysis required by the directions is barely evident in the project	Fair The grammatical content and analysis required by the directions is somewhat evident in the project	Good The grammatical content and analysis required by the directions is very close to what was required in the project's directions (one or two aspects missing)	Excellent The grammatical content and analysis required by the project's directions is met completely or exceeded.
Grammatical Mistakes	Poor There are many (more than 10) grammatical mistakes (verb/noun endings, tenses, cases, etc.) throughout the project	Fair There are a few (5-10) grammatical mistakes (verb/noun endings, tenses, cases, etc.) throughout the project	Good There are very few (3-5) grammatical mistakes (verb/noun endings, tenses, cases, etc.) throughout the project	Excellent There are few (1-2) to no grammatical mistakes (verb/noun endings, tenses, cases, etc.) throughout the project
Creativity	Poor FOR STORIES - The story is not very creative and the writing is slightly dull. FOR POEMS/SONGS - The poem/song has very little depth of content and was not exciting to read	Fair FOR STORIES - The story was mildly creative FOR POEMS/SONGS - The poem/song has a bit of depth of content, but could have used more	Good FOR STORIES - The story was quite creative and enjoyable to read FOR POEMS/SONGS - The poem/song had a good amount of depth of content	Excellent FOR STORIES - WOW! That was extremely creative! You should continue that story in English and see where it goes from there! FOR SONGS/POEMS - The song/poem was truly meaningful and deep, and it is easy to see why you chose it for the project.
