Yearbook Spread Evaluation 
Students will acquire all of the elements necessary to produce a yearbook spread. All elements will be placed on spread and styles will be applied.

Captions & Copy

Every photo must have a caption and captions should follow these rules: 1st sentence in present tense, telling what's happening; 2nd sentence past tense, adds to caption; 3rd sentence is a relevant quote.

Excellent

Every photo has a caption with a sufficient quote.
Good

Most of the photos have a caption or all photos have captions but one of the captions is missing important information.
Fair

Some of the photos have captions or more than one caption is missing important information.
Poor

Fewer than half of the photos have captions or more than half of the captions fail to follow the requirements.
Overall Quality

Every spread needs at least one block of copy to tie the spread together. Copy should be in past tense and have an adequate number of quotes and facts.

Spread has at least one block of copy. Copy is in past tense and has an adequate number of quotes and facts. Copy has obviously been proof read and has a minimum number of errors.
Good

Spread has at least one block of copy. Copy has adequate quotes and facts. Copy may need work but is overall pretty good.
Fair

Spread has at least one block of copy. Copy needs work.
Poor

Spread lacks copy.
