HUM 201 Creative Presentation Project 
Each student will be asked to select a section, or chapter, in the Western Culture I text that has special meaning for him or her. Each will then develop an end of semester creative presentation.

Level #1

Little to no evidence of research apart from information in the chosen text portion.
Level #2

Adequate research with at least one source over and above the text chapter (i.e. citation or information taken from a library book, professional journal or online source.

Superlative demonstration of research that includes not only a thorough examination of the text material, but also provides 3-6 outside sources.
Quality of Presentation

Level #1

Minimum presentation with few to no visual aids. Total presentation less than five (5) minutes. Presentation gives little new information apart from the text.
Level #2

Good format style. Adequate visual aids. Total presentation runs 5-8 minutes. Presentation provides adequate information on the chosen topic
Level #3

Superlative presentation format. Ample use of visual aids. Presentation runs from 8-15 minutes. Presentation provides significant topical information.
Creativeness

Level #1

No creative approach at all.
Level #2

A good attempt at offering a creative product. Examples might include 1-3 creative Power Point slides, a piece of art work or a costume worn by the presenter
Level #3

Superlative attempt at creative design. Presentation highlights the chosen topic through an excellent creative interpretation of the material.
