Nonfiction Summer Reading Project ELA Review Board Game Project Using the nonfiction book you read for your PreAP summer reading assignment, choose to create one of the following to demonstrate your thorough understanding of the text: mobile, collage, board or card game, illustrated timeline, or a detailed map. The project you choose needs to be creative, thorough, and have a "finished" look. (No hasty scribbles on notebook paper will be acceptable.) Project	20 points Project is handed in on time. Design is a clear representation of chosen book content, easy to understand, and well written. Project is very colorful, clearly demonstrates creativity, and includes information from the book that enhances the viewer's understanding. Book title and author's name are creatively presented.	15 points Project is handed in on time. Design is partly representative of chosen book content, it may be a little confusing to understand, but overall well written. Project demonstrates some creativity and includes relevant facts/information from the book. Book title and author's name are present.	10 points Project is handed in on time. Design is somewhat representative of chosen book content, is confusing to understand, and contains multiple grammatical errors. Project may be colorful but does not demonstrate much creativity, or is missing relevant facts/information from the book. Book title and author's name are present but difficult to read or contains errors in spelling.	5 points Project is late or not submitted. Design is poor, with little or no relevance to topic. Project is lacking creativity and/or color. OR Facts/information from the book are inaccurate or misrepresented. Book title and/or author's name is not present.
Quality of Visuals and Conent	20 points The project contains at least the required amount of visuals as indicated in the instructions. The visuals are relevant and clearly connect to the book. These visuals demonstrate detail, accuracy, and creativity. No major elements are excluded.	15 points The project contains at least 75% of the required amount of visuals as indicated in the instructions. The visuals are mostly relevant and connect to the book. These visuals demonstrate some detail and accuracy, but could have used more effort. Most of the included elements are important or interesting. One or two major elements may be missing.	10 points The project contains at least half of the required amount of visuals as indicated in the instructions. The visuals are somewhat relevant and loosely connect to the book. These visuals appear rushed and lacked effort. Some of the elements included are trivial or poorly presented. Major elements from the book are missing.	5 points The project contains fewer than half of the required amount of visuals as indicated in the instructions. The visuals are irrelevant and do not connect to the book. Many major elements are excluded and too many trivial elements are included.
