Mask was completed on time. All directions were followed and all project criteria were incorporated in it. Mask accurately portrays student's chosen 'ritual.'

The mask design and construction looks carefully planned. It is made neatly with well smoothed plaster and holes filled in. Mask is solid and not flimsy, pieces are attached securely. Skillfull use of paint and glue.

The mask design and construction looks well planned. It is made fairly neatly with a few unwatned bumps and unfilled holes in the gauze. Mask is solid and not flimsy, pieces are attached fairly welly. Paint and glue used appropriately.
Adequate/Able

The mask design and construction looks somewhat planned. There are several unwatned flaws (bumps and unfilled holes) that detract from the appearance somewhat. Mask is a little flimsy in places, pieces may be loose. Paint and glue used somewhat sloppily.

The mask looks thrown together at the last minute. It appears that little design or planning was done. Many major flaws (bumps, drips, holes) in the surface. Mask has many flimsy areas and very few or no add-ons.

No planning shown. Little to no skill is shown in the use of materials. Mask may be falling apart when handed in. No consideration is shown for how the mask was put together.

Class time was used wisely. Much time and effort went into the planning and design of the mask. It is clear the student worked outside of class as well as at school.

Class time was used wisely. Student could have put in more time and effort out of class.
Adequate/Able

Class time was not always used wisely, but student did do some additional work outside class.
Below Average/Apprentice

Class time was not used wisely and the student put in little to no additional effort outside of class.
