Open Google Apps and create a new Google Presentation.
Name

Click "Untitled Presentation" in the top left corner and give this presentation file a name.
New Slide

Task Directions

Find two ways to insert new slides. Create at least five new blank slides.
Title

Task Directions

Use a text box to insert a title for the presentation on the first slide.
Font

Task Directions

Change the font size, style, and color of the text in your title.
Images

Task Directions

Insert images as reminders of talking points and to create interest for your audience. (Insert image by URL and by using the research tool.)
Shape

Task Directions

Use the shapes and the fill color tools to add interest, but be careful not to over do it. Keep it simple and easy on the eyes.
Table

Insert a table to compare/contrast or to make lists.
Background/Theme

Task Directions

Experiment with background or theme tools.
Hyperlink

Task Directions

Create an image or text hyperlink to bring your audience to websites that will give more information about your presentation.
Animation

Use animation tool (Insert/Animation) to add movement to your presentation.
Video

Task Directions

Add a video clip to your slides if it will help demonstrate information important to your presentation.
Proofreading/Editing

Check for proper use of capitalization and spelling. Make sure your slides are arranged in a logical order. Make sure you did not use too many or too little words.
Transitions

Try the transition tools after all other editing is done.
Appealing

Task Directions

Check for audience appeal. Is it easy to look at (color, too bright/dark, too busy/boring). Practice the words you will say to go along with each slide.
