Student Effort	Limited Success Student displays little or no effort. Sometimes tries to participate, but doesn't do very much once the activity has started and often sits out.	Developing Student displays good effort. The student tries to do their best. Occasionally stands around during the activity, but overall, participation is satisfactory.	Proficient Student displays very good effort. The student almost always tries their hardest during the activity. Is rarely seen standing around.	Mastery Student displays excellent effort during activities. Always tries their hardest and is never seen standing around during the activity.
Fairplay	Limited Success Student displays lack of fairplay. Sometimes follows the rules. Can be disrespectful towards others and/or the teacher.	Developing Student displays a good sense of fairplay. The student usually follows the rules and occasionally argues with other students, but overall, their progress is satisfactory.	Proficient Student displays a very good sense of fairplay. The student almost always follows the rules and rarely argues with other students.	Mastery Student displays an excellent sense of fairplay. The student always follows the rules and never argues with the other students.
Understanding and Skill	Limited Success Student displays lack of understanding of the activity. Student lacks skill in the activity.	Developing Student displays a good sense of understanding of the activity. Student is able to display a fair amount of skill during the activity.	Proficient Student displays a very good sense of understanding of the activity. Student is able to display a relatively high amount of skill during the activity.	Mastery Student displays an excellent sense of understanding of the activity. Student is also able to display an excellent amount of skill during the activity.
