Blog Post Rubric
	Exceeding 4 pts	Meeting 3 pts	Developing 2 pts	Not Meeting 1 pts
Quality	Exceeding Appropriate comments; thoughtful, reflective, and respectful of others' postings.	Meeting Appropriate comments and responds respectfully to others' comments.	Developing Responds, but with minimal effort. (For example, "I agree with Jack.") Posting does not display contemplation.	Not Meeting Posting does not respond to the question or classmate's posting. Response is irrelevant or off-topic.
Reference & Support	Exceeding Consistently uses direct references to class materials to support discussion.	Meeting Incorporates some references to class materials to support discussion.	Developing Discusses references to class materials in a general way.	Not Meeting Includes no references or supporting evidence.
Contribution	Exceeding Furthers the discussion with questions or statements that encourage others to respond. Participates beyond the required number of postings.	Meeting Participates, but does not post anything that encourages others to respond. Participates with the required number of postings.	Developing Posting does not answer all of the questions or answers provided are incomplete.	Not Meeting Posting is incomplete and posting does not further any discussions.
Grammar & Mechanics	Exceeding Response contains no errors in spelling, grammar or mechanics. Answers are in complete sentences.	Meeting Response may contain some errors in spelling, grammar or mechanics. Errors do not impede reader's understanding. Answers are in complete sentences.	Developing Response may contain several errors in spelling, grammar, and mechanics. Errors may impeded reader's understanding. Answers may not be in complete sentences.	Not Meeting Response may contain frequent errors in spelling, grammar, and mechanics that may affect meaning. Answers are not in complete sentences.
