Create a Nature Myth-Writing Assignment
We have explored and discussed creation myths...now it is your turn to create your own in the likeness of the Native Americans! Remember, Native Americans created their stories with a purpose. Everything they created had a reason. The main purpose of myths was to explain the way their world worked or to help them understand mysteries of nature or human life. Your story should not only have beautiful language (personification, simile, metaphor, etc) but should also serve a function (explain something).
