Diorama Construction	Excellent Diorama is extremely attractive. Many different colors were used and all items were neat and securely attached.	Good Diorama is attractive. Poor Diorama is poorly made. Almost no color used. Almost all of the items are not securely attached.
Diorama Theme	Excellent Diorama shows a scene from the book clearly. You can tell the characters and the setting are from the book.	Good Diorama somewhat shows a scene from the book. You can tell characters and setting are from the book.	Fair You can not easily tell this is a scene from the book. Characters and setting are not very recognizable.	Poor Diorama does not show a scene from the book.
Written Description	Excellent The summary includes a major event from the novel. The scene is clearly explained. Student has explained the setting, scene and 3 symbols in a well constructed paragraph	Good The summary includes some information from the scene, but student has not fully explained the main event or setting or 3 symbols.	Fair The summary includes a few events from the scene, but no clear explanation of the main event, setting, or 3 symbols.	Poor The summary does not explain the main event and it is poorly written.
