Dribbling with Finger Pads

Poor

Never was able to successfully dribble.
Fair

Sometimes was successful in dribbling but still fumbled quite a bit and the ball was hitting the palm of the hand.
Good

Often was successful in dribbling the ball but had a few fumbles and it did not feel comfortable. The ball was sometimes hitting the palm of the hand.
Excellent

Almost always was successful in dribbling. It felt comfortable and the ball was hitting the finger pads on my hand, not the palm.
Dribbling with Knees Bent

Poor

Never dribbled with knees bent but rather straight legs.

Sometimes dribbled with knees bent but not a lot.

Often demonstrated successful dribbling with knees bent but had to be reminded sometimes.

Almost always dribbled with knees bent and did not have to be reminded. It felt natural to bend the knees when dribbling.

Never dribbled with the head up but rather looked at the ball the entire time.

Never could successfully dribble with my weak hand.

Sometimes could successfully dribble with my weak hand but not a lot.

Often could successfully dribble with my weak hand but still had to look at the ball.

Always demonstrated successful dribbling with my weak hand and rarely had to look at the ball.
Guard Hand

Never held up the non-dribbling hand to protect the ball.

Sometimes held up the non-dribbling hand to protect the ball.

Often held up the non-dribbling hand to protect the ball but still had to be reminded to do so.

Never could travel the length of the court without losing the ball while dribbling.

Sometimes could make it the entire length of the court while dribbling but sometimes lost the ball.

Often could make it the entire length of the floor but still had to look at the ball while dribbling.

Almost always made it the length of the court while dribbling and rarely had to look at the ball. I could feel it with my hand and push it forward without looking and with my head up.
