Prepositions	Exceptional All prepositions correctly used.	Good 14 prepositions used correctly.	Fair 12 prepositions used correctly.	Poor 10 or fewer prepositions used correctly.
Spelling	Exceptional Spelling- has no errors.	Good Spelling- has only one or two errors.	Fair Spelling- has a few errors.	Poor Spelling- has many errors.
Construction	Exceptional Followed the established format. The title is in the middle of the page. 16 different prepositions used.	Good Followed the established format with maybe one variance. 14 prepositions used	Fair Followed the established format with maybe two or three small variances. 12 prepositions used	Poor Did not follow the established format. 10 or fewer prepositions used
Illustrations	Exceptional All illustrations are done in color and it is apparent that the student spent a GOOD amount of time on them.	Good All illustrations are done in color and it seems that the student spent a BIT of time on them.	Fair All illustrations may or may not be done in color and it seems the student could have spent more time on them.	Poor All illustrations are not done in color and it is apparent that the student spent little time on them.
Neatness	Exceptional Work is INCREDIBLY neat!	Good Work is neat, but could be a bit neater.	Fair Work is lacking somewhat in neatness. Writing is harder to read.	Poor Work is very sloppy. Words are written in very sloppy handwriting.
