Backstitch	Needs Improvement The stitches are not the correct stitch. Very noticeable.	On the Way Stitches are either too long or too wide apart. The closure is not tight or knotted correctly.	Almost There Most of the stitches are the correct length or width apart.	Wow Hand sewing is done correctly. Stitches are correct length and width apart. Closure is invisible.
Pattern	Needs Improvement There is no distinguishable pattern in the square.	On the Way A pattern was attempted but was given up before it was formed.	Almost There Most of the pattern is distinguishable.	Wow The sample shows a distinguishable pattern of either color or shapes.
Overall Apperance	Needs Improvement The samples do not look neat.	On the Way Not all the samples were completed.	Almost There Student put fourth effort & time to complete the sampler to the best of their ability.	Wow The samples look very neat and shows that you took your time.
