galloping	D Cannot gallop.	C Walk or run. Back foot crosses front foot. Turns to side.	B Back foot sometimes crosses front.	A Non-support gallop, leads with 1 foot and has an uneven rhythm.
skipping	D Cannot skip.	C Performs step/hop but not completely fluent.	B Performs coordinated movement most of the time.	A Performs coordinated movement all of the time.
jumping	D Cannot jump.	C Little to no balance on take off or landing and looks more like a hop	B Jumps with proper form from one or two feet but shows lack of control on take off or landing. Jarred landing.	A Jumps from one or two feet with balanced take off and landing. Lands on balls of feet with knees bent to absorb force.
hopping	D Cannot hop.	C Cannot balance on one foot on take off or landing	B Hops mostly on one foot but does not use the other foot as well or at all	A Can hop balanced on either foot. Landing is soft and controlled.
running	D Cannot run.	C Rarely runs looking straight ahead. Little or no arm movement. Runs flat footed.	B Usually looks straight ahead with some arm movement. Feet not facing forward.	A Looks straight ahead while running and feet and arms are moving in a straight line in the direction of movement. Weight is on the balls of the feet.
Sliding	D Cannot slide.	C Movement resembles gallop or feet cross.	B Movement is sideways but feet sometimes cross or heels click together.	A Consistent sideways movement with either foot leading and feet do not cross or touch.
Leaping	D Cannot leap.	C Moves from 1 foot but lands on 2 feet.	B Moves from 1 foot to the other foot but without sufficient force or controlled landing.	A Springs from 1 foot to the other with force, landing with control.
