Oral Presentation Students will use their State Float and information from their State Report to share with others information about their state.
	Excellent 3 pts	Good 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Content: Props 35 % You must mention at least 3 objects on your float.	Excellent Student references objects on the state float at least 3 times.	Good Student references objects on the state float only 2 times.	Poor Student references only 1 object on the state float or does not mention any objects at all.
Content: Additional Information 35 % Tell us a few more things about your state (these tidbits do not need to be objects on your float).	Excellent Student shares at least 3 additional tidbits of information about their state.	Good Student shares only 2 additional tidbits of information about their state.	Poor Student shares only 1 additional tidbit of information about their state, or doesn't share any additional information about their state.
Eye Contact 10 % Look at your audience! We don't want to watch you read your note cards.	Excellent Student establishes eye contact with several different audience members throughout the presentation.	Good Student only makes eye contact with 1 or 2 audience members throughout the presentation.	Poor Student does not make eye contact with any members of audience (this includes looking up, but not making eye contact).
Volume 10 % You've worked hard...be proud of the work you did and confidently share it with the audience!	Excellent The teacher can hear and understand all of the presentation.	Good The teacher can't hear 1-2 phrases because of volume.	Poor The teacher can't hear 3 or more phrases because of volume.
Preparedness 10 % Talking in front of others can be a difficult thing to do! The more you practice in front of people, the more ready you'll be!	Excellent Student is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed.	Good Student seems pretty prepared, but could have used a couple more rehearsals.	Poor Student seems nervous and uncomfortable and did not sufficiently rehearse.
