Power Point/Poster Presentation This rubric is designed to assess your performance in gathering information on your selected topic and your presentation of that topic in class through a Power Point.

Content Information Essential information related to the topic was presented	Below Standards Essential information about topic is missing. Presenter contributed very little to the project.	Meets Standards Basic Information about the topic is included. Presenter contributed some work towards the project	Above Standards Thorough coverage of the assigned topic is presented. Presenter contributed equally to the project
Organization and layout Images and information presented on the powerpoint are presented in a manner which contributes to the understanding of the topic	Below Standards Information and images are presented in an unorganized manner.	Meets Standards Information and images about topic is presented in an organized manner.	Above Standards Information and images about the topic is presented in a clear and easy to follow manner.
Spelling and Grammar Information on the slides was written with care to follow the basic rules of writing to include: proper spelling and grammar as well as structure and syntax. Volume and Fluency Information was presented in a manner where the speaker was easy to hear and the delivery of the information was easy to folllow	Below Standards Speaker was difficult to hear, and spoke either too quickly or stumbled often on presentation information	Meets Standards Speaker was able to be heard, however, pacing was uneven with some stumbling during presentation. Speaker seemed unfamiliar with topic.	Above standards Speaker spoke very clearly and fluently during presentation. Speaker added his own words to the presentation and seemed familiar with the topic.
Eye Contact Speaker looked at the audience during the presentation	Below Standards Speaker had very little eye contact with the audience. Speaker just read the slides.	Meets Standards Speaker looked at the audience some of the time. Speaker read to the audience most of the time	Above standards Speaker made consistent eye contact with the audience while relaying the information on the slides.
Time requirement Group presentation was between 7 and 10 minutes in duration	Below Standards Presentation by the group was less than 5 minutes in duration	Meets Standards Presentation by the group met the minimum time of 5 to 7 minutes in duration	Above standards Presentation by the group met the optimal time requirement of 7 to 10 minutes in duration
