Magazine has a clear focus on a social issue, and appeals to the targeted audience. Editorial invites audience to read further. Feature articles are
thoughtful & provocative, well written. Sources are cited correctly. Subject matter for review is well chosen; review follows guidelines provided. Interview is conducted with an expert in the field of study; write-up is clear & informative. All requirements are present & done in an exemplary manner.

Magazine is mostly focused on a single social issue and mostly appeals to the targeted audience. Editorial follows basic format. Feature articles, while informative, may be lacking in one required element. Subject matter for review well chosen and follows guidelines. Interview is conducted with someone knowledgeable in subject matter; write up of subject's responses clear. All requirements are met and done well.

Magazine is somewhat focused on a social issue and somewhat appeals to the targeted audience. Editorial may require further explanation of topic. Feature articles may be lacking in documented sources OR have problems with clarity. Review is rather basic and may not explore all aspects of subject. Interviewee is NOT an 'expert' in field of study.One or two of the requirements are incomplete or need editing.
