Making Predictions
	Basic 3 pts	Proficient 5 pts	Advanced 7 pts
Carifying Fill in the prediction chart completely based on the passage.	Basic At least one category is correctly filled in on the prediction chart.	Proficient At least three categories are correctly filled in on the prediction chart.	Advanced All five categories are correctly filled in on the prediction chart.
Prediction Answer the open response question thoroughly with details from the passage to support your prediction.	Basic Student did not make a prediction or prediction was not based on details from the passage.	Proficient Prediction is acceptable, but there are not details from the passage to support the prediction.	Advanced Prediction is acceptable and based on details from the passage.
