VIS Ballroom Competition: TANGO RUBRIC 
An innovative educational dance program, providing arts and physical education to the students of Vicksburg Intermediate School. Students learn ballroom dancing for 15 weeks and compete in a school wide dance competition.

Dancer reluctantly partners with certain people. Dancer talks through out the performance.
Yay!

Dancer is selective in who they choose to partner with. Dancers movements are relatively precise. There is minimal talking during the performance.

Dancer welcomes any partner and does not discriminate. Dancer's movements are sharp, precise, and neat. Dancer does not talk/ laugh/ or play during the performance.
Smooth Transitions

Dancers use a soft bend in the knee to accomplish smooth transitions.

Students transitions are sometimes smooth. Some transitions are choppy.
