French School Skit Peformance Rubric
Skit Peformance Rubric
This rubric was designed for our school conversation skits in which partners have a conversation in French related to school. An outline was provided in which students ask and answer questions related to their school schedule, teachers, and subjects they either like, prefer or dislike. A greeting, farewell and humorous French phrases must be included. Each group member will be assigned an individual mark.

The skit outline was followed completely. All points that needed to be included were included (Q and As for all sections). Additional humourous French phrases were added as requested.

Student presented an average demonstration of fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines. Student had to use note-cards for lines often.
Proficient
Student presented a proficient demonstration of fluency. Student stumbled over words at times and confused lines. Obvious practice.
Exceptional
Student presented an above average performance. Student had few to no issues with fluency.
Participation-individual
Lacks skills/Inconsistent
Did not work well within his/her group, and did not bring ideas to their group.
Adaquete/Developing
Group member did not participate well according to the group.
Proficient
All group member's fully participated. This group member was positive most of the time.
Exceptional
All group member's fully participated and brought ideas to their group. Group states that work was evenly divided. A positive attitude was shown by this group member at all times.
Use of Possessive Adjectives
Lacks skills/Inconsistent
The majority of sentences (questions/answers) used possessive adjectives incorrectly. Used Mon instead of Ma (when a female is speaking) or did not address the other person properly when asking a question.
Adaquete/Developing
Some possessive adjectives were used incorrectly. Three or more.
Proficient
Minimal mistakes were made in regards to Possessive Adjectives.
Exceptional
All questions and answers used possessive adjectives appropriately.
Presentation Skills
Lacks skills/Inconsistent
Reads almost entirely from the cue cards or paper. Does not look at his/her partner. Speaks too quietly and/or mumbles.
Adaquete/Developing
Looks up very occasionally and speaks with an okay volume/clarity.
Proficient
Interacts well with partner but looking up most of the time from the cue cards. Projects voice proficiently and with clarity.
Exceptional
Rarely looks at the cue cards and interacts in a natural way with his/her partner by looking at them instead of a paper. Speaks with excellent volume and clarity.
