Museum Display 
Students will create a museum display based on their human rights research. The student may create a physical display, use Movie Maker to make a video of 4-7 minutes, or create a multi-layered website using Weebly.

The display shows a depth of research and an understanding of the topic covered. The display goes beyond generic information and includes insightful and detailed information about at least 3 subtopics of the research, including at least one primary source.
Visual Appeal

Poor

The display lacks the professional quality expected. The visuals are not cited and/or there are not enough to make the display appealing and cohesive.
Fair

The display has some images, graphics, and graphic design, but there are not enough to make the display visually appealing.
Good

The display uses images, graphics, and professional quality graphic design adequately. Each image is captioned and refers to the source where it came from.
Excellent

The display uses a variety of images, graphics, and professional quality graphic design in a unique and creative manner. All images are cited with a caption referring back to the source where the image came from.
Creativity and Organization

Poor

The display lacks clear organization and creativity. The project is sloppy and appears to be hastily put together.
Fair

The display is organized well, but may lack creative interest. The display could be too linear and formulaic.
Good

The display is organized well, and the student has attempted to make the display somewhat creative and artistic.
Excellent

The display is creative and organized well. The student has gone above and beyond the standard requirements and has added a level of artistry and creativity that goes beyond the basic.
Mechanics

Poor

The display contains 9 or more errors and/or the errors are so severe that they interfere with understanding.
Fair

The display contains between 5 and 8 mechanical errors that occasionally interfere with understanding.
Good

The display contains more than 4 mechanical errors, but these errors do not inhibit the reader's understanding of the material.
Excellent

The display contains only occasional, minor errors in grammar and usage (1-3). These errors do not detract from the overall quality and understanding of the display.
