Word Wall projects Word Wall projects This was an activity in which students were each assigned a new vocabulary word which related to the reading portion of the ACT and were asked to 1) draw the word bright and colorfully,2) define the word, 3) use words similar to the vocabulary word, 4) identify its part of speech, and 5)write other forms of the word (if there are any).The students' names in each group must be written on the back of the page. Graphics - Relevance	Excellent All graphics are related to the vocabulary word and make it easy to understand.	Very Good All graphics are related to the vocabulary word and most make it easier to understand.	Good All graphics relate to the vocabulary word, yet the definition of the word is not completely explained.	Fair Poster shows minimal graphics that are messy and vaguely relate to the vocabulary word.	Poor Graphics do not relate to the vocabulary word and/or make it difficult to understand. Attractiveness/Effort	Excellent The poster is exceptionally attractive in terms of design, layout, and neatness. The student has displayed immense effort. Good The poster is acceptably attractive though it may be a bit messy.	Fair The poster is slightly messy and/or poorly thought out. It shows minimal effort. Creativity	Excellent The poster was extremely creative in one or more ways, including design planning, medium elements, and graphics. There were certain elements which were interesting.	Fair The poster was not very creative, nor did it require much thought.	Poor The poster was not creative.	Not Handed In Poster was not handed in.
Overall	Excellent The poster was one of the best that was graded. It exceeded expectations and was interesting. It also evoked a reaction from the teacher and/or from the class.	Very Good The poster has exceeded expectations, shown creativity and effort. It is physically attractive and shows a decent amount of creativity.	Good The poster clearly demonstrates the meaning of the vocabulary word, and the student has shown some effort in creating it. It is also kind of creative and although a little messy, achieves it's intended purpose.	Fair The poster was not well done, nor did the student put much time, thought or effort into making it.	Poor The poster was not well done, nor did the student put much time, thought or effort into making it. It also lacks color.	Not Handed In Poster was not handed in.
