Riverton Peer Support - Rubric 1 
SACE Stage 1 students will be assessed progressively over a semester for their development of knowledge and pedagogical practice as they teach a Year 8 group of 7-8 students for a 50 min lesson each week. As peer leader skill develop so will the rubric!

Leader is continuing to develop awareness of physical positioning of the class and themselves as they present lessons to the class.
Improvement required

Leader demonstrated awareness of positioning via the lesson plan but is yet to consistently implement this effectively while teaching.
Communication

Excellent

Information/instruction is clearly and succinctly presented. Verbal engagement with students is completed with appropriate tone. Class questions are answered with confidence.
Developing

Information is presented in an organised way. Leader is able to answer questions when asked.
Improvement required

The presentation of information or instructions is scrambled and needs to be repeated
Relationships

Excellent

A positive environment is evident with excellent rapport between group members and peer leader. Peer leader can establish a working environment which reflects the outcome - relaxed, positive with use of praise phrases.
Developing

A working relationship is established with good rapport evident between group members and peer leader. Leader is still working to consistently develop a positive, relaxed environment with open communication.
Improvement required

Leader is struggling to establish positive interactions within the group. Positive rapport is not developing because of an authoritarian approach.
