Timeline Rubric Timeline Rubric Using art paper, map out a timeline of the significant events in the book. Pictures or illustrations should be used as well to bring the timeline to life. Chronology Arrange events as they unfolded in the story.	Excellent All events arranged chronologically.	Good Most events arranged chronologically.	Fair Some events arranged chronologically.	Poor Few events arranged chronologically.
Requirements Must include the title of the book at the top of the page, a timeline across the page with 10 events plotted on the timeline graph.	Excellent Has met all criteria	Good Is missing one of the criteria	Fair Is missing two of the criteria.	Poor Is missing more than two of the criteria
Neatness	Excellent Shows careful thought & planning. Understandable. Legible. Neat.	Good Shows thought & planning. Mostly: Understandable. Legible. Neat.	Fair Difficult to read. Sloppy. Shows little thought and planning.	Poor Appears rushed, sloppy or careless. Difficult to read clearly or understand.
Details/Implications	Excellent Gives appropriate details and thoughtful implications of events	Good Gives details and implications of events	Fair Gives little detail and poor analysis of implications of events	Poor Gives no details or implications of events
Mechanics	Excellent Has no errors in grammar, spelling, or puctuation.	Good Has one to two errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation.	Fair Has three to four errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation.	Poor Has more than four errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation.
