Procedure Writing on Matter Experiments 
Students will write a procedure on an experiment that was done in class. They will follow include all aspects of the procedure writing strategy. Students will include a summary to explain the properties of matter and include appropriate vocabulary.

Student produces step-by-step instructions to describe an experiment on matter. A diagram may be included if needed. Vocabulary is used and explained throughout work.

Students will edit and proof read assignment, correcting grammar and spelling for final product. Written component is double spaced and typed.

Strong attempt at writing the summary is evident. Many details related to the properties of matter are not included and do not relate to the experiment.

Summary is weak and does not effectively explain the properties of matter. Summary does not relate to the student's experiment.
