Family Tree 
Purpose: To reinforce the family vocabulary words and to improve writing skills. Task: You will create a family tree. You will use all the required vocabulary on your vocabulary sheet. For each family member you will write a description. In your descriptions there should be a minimum of 5 adjectives. Be sure to use a variety of regular verbs (er, ir, re) and irregular verbs (ĂȘtre, avoir, aller, faire, sortir, dormir, vouloir and pouvoir). Your project should be presented in a creative way. Technology is not required, but you may use an approved format. You will write a rough draft of your descriptions that will be turned in and checked before descriptions are placed on the final project. Pictures of your family should be included. Adjectives

More that five adjectives are used to describe each family member. All adjectives are used correctly. Agreement is flawless. The descriptions are vivid and different for each member of the family.

Five adjectives are used correctly for each family member. Agreement is correct in all cases. The descriptions are different for each family member. Descriptions are interesting and engaging.

Competent Performance

A rough draft is presented to the teacher the day before the project is due and /or there are many errors for the student to fix. The rough draft is attached to the final project along with the rubric.

Minimally Competent

The rough draft is not complete and or not turned in for editing. The rough draft is turned in but there are multiple errors or a translator was used. No rough draft and/ or rubric is turned in with the project.

Creativity

The final project is presented in a very creative and engaging format.

Above and beyond

The final project is of professional quality.
Superior

The format of the family tree is very creative and highly engaging to the viewer. Much time was spent on the development of the project.

Excellent

The format of the family tree is somewhat creative. However there is not a great deal of originality.


21 - 20
Competent Performance

The format of the family tree is not very engaging or interesting. Very little originality or creativity.

Minimally Competent

Project looks like it was thrown together last minute. The product is not original or creative.
