Grammar	Nonexistant Has numerous grammatical errors.	Poor Has 6-7 grammatical errors.	Fair Has three to five gramatical errors.	Good Has one or two grammatical errors.	Excellent Has NO grammatical errors.
Spelling	Nonexistant Has 6 or more spelling errors.	Poor Has 3-5 spelling errors.	Fair Has 2 spelling errors.	Good Has 1 spelling error.	Excellent Has NO spelling errors.
Originality	Nonexistant Is an existing hero.	Poor Has much in common with another hero.	Fair Shows considerable similarity to an existing hero.	Good Shows slight similarity to existing hero.	Excellent Shows much creativity and originality. Character is completely novel.
Heroic Qualities	Nonexistant Hasr no heroic qualiities.	Poor Has one or two heroic qualities.	Fair Has three or four heroic qualities.	Good Has five or six heroic qualities.	Excellent Has all seven heroic qualities.
Overall Impression	Nonexistant The character leaves audience with no impression of hero.	Poor Character leaves the audience with a slight impression.	Fair Character is either memorable or distinguishable--not both.	Good Character is memorable but not distinguishable.	Excellent Audience has a full grasp of character's heroism and author's effort. Character is memorable and distinguishable.
