Line Variety	1 Use of line types is minimal at best, and does not show interest or personal content.	2 Two different types of lines were used, but did not give much personal interest to the drawing. Line Quality	1 No care or very little care was given to application of line. Line was sloppy or quickly drawn in.	2 Line was sometimes drawn with sensitivity and variation but was not carefully made, covering the pencil sketch beneath.	3 Variation in pressure and feel of line was used to show changes throughout drawing. Composition/Design	1 No thought has been given to the arrangement of the lines. The composition is uninteresting and objects do not create an interesting composition. The work lacks creativity.	3 Thought was given to the arrangement of lines in order to achieve variety. An effective pencil drawing was sketched out first. Time was given to plan ahead of time.	4 The student generated many ideas through their pencil sketch. The plan was successfully done prior to finishing with the black marker.
Craftmanship/Finish	1 Drawing is unfinished or appears messy and needs attention. Pencil lines have not been covered or erased. Did not use class time wisely and had to be reminded to stay on task. Minimal effort.	2 Some areas of the drawing may need further attention. Class time was used wisely. Needed a few reminders to stay on task.
