Biomes Webquest This is a webquest undertaken by 7th and 8th graders. They kept a travel journal, then developed a PowerPoint about a biome that they "visited". Rubric Code: J69722 By ATroxell Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Science Type: Project Grade Levels: 6-8

Presentation	Poor Presenter read the PowerPoint and seemed unsure of the information.	Fair Some reading of the PowerPoint. The presenter is sure of the information, but unable to answer questions that are more in depth.	Good Presenter uses the PowerPoint as a teaching tool and is able to field questions easily.
Journal	Poor The journal is incomplete or the directions are not followed.	Fair Directions are followed, but some of the information is not there.	Good The journal is complete, attractive and directions are followed.
Conventions	Poor There are frequent mistakes in the conventions of English in either the PowerPoint or Journal. Text is plagiarized (equals a 0 in this field)	Fair Some mistakes in conventions are noted in Journal or PowerPoint.	Good The conventions of English are observed and the writing matches the expectations of the grade level.
Behavior	Poor Student is reminded frequently to stay on task and / or doesn't follow classroom instructions.	Fair Some reminders necessary.	Good Student stays on task and exhibits exemplary, goal- directed behavior.
