The Outsiders: Music Paragraph Students will choose a song that they feel "fits" them at this point in their life. They will then write a two paragraph essay explaining why it is important to them. Song Enter description	Poor Student has not provided a copy of the song they selected.	Fair Student has provided a copy of part of the song that they selected. However, it is incomplete and it appears that some words/sections are missing.	Good Student provided a copy of the song with the artist. The lyrics are appropriate for school.
Paragraph Length Enter description	Poor The essay is less than two paragraphs in length.	Fair	Good The essay is two paragraphs in length.
Grammatics Includes: spelling, capitalization, punctuation, subject/verb agreement, etc.	Poor Student has four or more grammatical errors in their essay.	Fair Student has one to three grammatical errors in their essay.	Good Student has no grammatical errors in their essay.
Creativity	Poor The student didn't appear to put much thought into finding a song to represent their personality/traits/gifts.	Fair The song seems like an adequate representation of their personality/traits/gifts.	Good The student did a great job trying to find a song to reflect their personality/traits/gifts.
