Meeting Standard Introduces the topic that is being compared and contrasted, acknowledges and distinguishes the topic.	Approaching Standard Introduces the topic that is being compared and contrasted and organizes the reasons and evidence clearly.	Below Standard Introduces the topic, but does so in an incoherent way.	Far Below Standard No introduction to the topic.
Support / Evidence	Exceeding Standard All of the supporting details are written neatly and have strong evidence of the main idea proving it true.	Meeting Standard All of the supporting details are included and written neatly.	Approaching Standard Contains some details from the story. The details are included but may be messy and difficult to read.	Below Standard The details included do not support the main idea.	Far Below Standard Contains no supporting details.
