Journal on Clothing & Identity This rubric is for a Spanish 2 unit on the Zoot Suit Riots and clothing. Students needed to write a journal entry in Spanish on the clothing used by different peer groups and how clothing is used to identify group belonging. General	Good Your journal entry was at least one double-spaced page long, written in Spanish, to the best of your abilities and written in your journal notebook. There is no evidence of either peer or computer translation assistance.	Fair Journal is 1-2 lines short or written in a large font in Spanish or outside your journal notebook or not done to the best of YOUR abilities or there is evidence of peer or computer translation assistance in one sentence.	Poor Journal is more than 1-2 lines short or contains some English or written far below your ability level or was done mostly with peer or computer translation assistance.
Vocabulary	Good Journal entry relies on clothing vocabulary and adjectives from the unit.	Fair Journal uses some words from the unit but relies on previously learned vocabulary.	Poor Journal does not use vocabulary from the unit.
Accurate descriptions	Good Accurate descriptions of clothing are used. A peer would be able to understand what the clothing described looks like.	Fair Descriptions are somewhat vague. A peer would need a little more clarification about the clothing described.	Poor Descriptions are very vague. Peers would not know what the clothing described looks like.
