Food Web Consumer Comparison Food Web Consumer Comparison This rubric assesses whether students were successful at reviewing six web sites and evaluating the characteristics of various food chain consumers. In addition, it assesses whether students were able to successfully answer higher level thinking questions about the role of each consumer. spreadsheet completion	Poor spreadsheet is less than 25% completed	Fair spreadsheet is between 25% and 70% complete or answers appear to be randomly chosen	Good spreadsheet is nearly complete but missing some entries	Excellent spreadsheet is complete with accurate entries for each characteristic
spreadsheet accuracy	Poor spreadsheet answers do not reflect understanding of material presented	Fair spreadsheet shows some knowledge of material presented but is incorrect in five categories or more	Good spreadsheet answers are mostly correct with two to four mistakes	Excellent spreadsheet answers are very accurate with less than two mistakes
questions completion	Poor less than half of the worksheet questions are complete or questions seem hastily answered without thought using incomplete sentences	Fair either about half of the questions are complete showing some higher level thinking or all are complete but answers lack much thought or thoroughness	Good most of the questions are answered showing well considered higher level thinking	Excellent all questions are completely answered showing well thought out responses
neatness and timeliness	Poor either none of the parts of the assignment were on time or work was extremely sloppy	Fair either some parts of the assignment were turned in on time, neatly completed or assignment was on time but somewhat sloppy	Good all assignment parts were turned in on time but were not neat	Excellent assignment was on time, neat and complete
