Instrument Research Essay Instrument Families Research Write a two page article about your instrument. Include its earliest known use, the first developments/versions of it, the inventor(s), how it became the instrument you know it as today, where one would hear it most frequently today, and any famous players that you find out about. Use of resources	Limited Only one resource in the library was used.	Fair Two to three resources in the library were used. Bibliography	Limited Resources were not cited. Plaigarism was evident due to exact words taken from another source without the use of quotations.	Fair Resources were cited, but some were missing or cited incorrectly.	Good Resources were cited correctly using the name of the webpage, book, magazine, etc.	Excellent Bibliography was placed at the end of the article and was all correctly cited and typed without errors.

Essay structure A clear engaging writing style: 5 paragraphs - Introduction, Body (3 paragraphs), Conclusion	Limited Does not follow the history essay format	Fair Follows some of the essay format, but there is little flow in the essay. It is fairly interesting.	Good Follows the essay format and there is a fairly consistent flow in the essay and it is an interesting read.	Excellent Follows the essay format, and flows very smoothly.
