Lyric Video 
Student(s) will produce a Lyric video. Using a computer and Adobe Premiere Pro student will create Titles and match lyrics to a song. Video must demonstrate techniques shown in class.

Creation of Titles

Excellent

Titles were easy to read. Font choice was readable and different from the default. Title colors and fonts followed a consistent pattern throughout the video.
Good

Titles looked pretty good. Font choices could have been bolder and more consistent looking OR Student used the default font and color.
Poor

Titles were hard to read and did not look professional OR Font varied to much or used colors that were distracting or hard to read with the background chosen OR student had too much text on one screen and should have had separated titles more.
Unacceptable

Titles contained multiple mis-spellings OR Titles were not complete OR student put all the lyrics on <5 screens.
Timing/Transitions

Excellent

Titles were appropriately timed to the music. Any motion applied enhanced the effect and made the video more interesting. Transitions added to the overall look and feel of the piece.
Good

Titles were timed correctly but motion was more distracting than enhancing. Transitions were added to some of the piece but not the entire sequence OR transitions did not enhance the final product.
Poor

Timing was off or motion was either not evident or was used inappropriately. NO transitions were used other than straight cuts.
Unacceptable

Lyric Video is incomplete. No attempt at timing visual lyrics to sound. NO transitions were used other than straight cuts OR <5 edits in the entire piece.
Creative Design

Excellent

Student good combination of background and font. Words were distributed nicely and the appropriate amount of text per page was used.
Good

Video had good combination of background and font but too many words were placed on each screen.
Poor

Final product is very basic, with minimal creativity expressed. Effort was minimal.
Unacceptable

Lyric Video is incomplete.
School Appropriateness

Excellent

All elements of the video were school-appropriate. Inappropriate words were bleeped or removed from sound and do not appear visually.
Good

One or two elements of the video may be borderline inappropriate.
Poor

Overall content presented is inappropriate to school viewing.
Unacceptable

Lyric Video is incomplete.
Time Management

Excellent

Student used class time well, stayed on task and used their full effort on the production.
Good

Student rushed through the project completing it less than 50% class time allotted or less and did not put for their full effort.

Project was rushed and completed in less than 25% of the allotted class time OR Project was LATE
