Understanding & Analysis	Inadequate MindMap does not demonstrate a sufficient understanding of concepts or a degree of analysis.	Adequate MindMap demonstrates a sufficient understanding of concepts and some level of analysis.	Advanced MindMap demonstrates a deep understanding of concepts and high level of analysis.
Creativity & Innovation	Inadequate MindMap does not illustrate creative thinking, and fails to use a conceptual theme or organizational scheme to organize the concepts.	Adequate MindMap illustrates creative thinking by intentionally using a conceptual theme or organizational scheme to organize the concepts.	Advanced MindMap illustrates a high level of creative thinking by using an original conceptual theme or organizational scheme, outside of the categorization themes/patterns that have already been discussed/provided in class.
Clarity and Presentation	Inadequate MindMap is messy, illegible, poorly organized, detracting from comprehension for viewers.	Adequate MindMap is clear, legible, sufficiently organized, and comprehensible for viewers.	Advanced Mindmap is not only clear, legible, and organized, allowing for comprehension but also shows a high degree of visual craftsmanship and aesthetic design in the format.
