Well spoken and clear in analysis of project. uses all terminology correctlly. Obviouslly well thought out.
Above average: B

With the exception of a few terms. the student shows a good understanding of terminology and has applied it correctlly with project. with a little more effort project could have been outstanding
Average: C

showed an average understanding of terminology and applying it.
Below average: D

Showed below average understanding of terminology and applying it.
Poor: F

Student can not use terms appropriately and shows little to no understanding

Has all sections required. original image with two abstractions. the writing accompaning all three images. Process section showing thumbnails for finals and other experimentation. Project label on back lower right hand corner of project

Extraordinary: A

Student has all required sections within project.
Above average: B

Student has all major requirements but has left out titles or possibly project label on back of board. With a little more effort project would be outstanding.
Average: C

Student fulfilled the assignment, but gave no evidence of trying anything unusual.
Below average: D

Missing project requirements and shows little effort in the sections that are present. Obviouslly doing the bare minimum.
Poor: F

Shows no understanding of what was aasked for on the project sheet, unorganized and incomplete.
Hierarchy and gestalt principles

Easy to read and make sense of, whether using keys or writing in paragraphs. Uses terminology correctlly. Thorough in analyzing image.

Extraordinary: A

Well written clear analysis of images. Uses all terminology correctly, well thought out.
Above average: B

With a little more effort, written elements would have been outstanding. maybe uses a few of the terms incorectly.
Average: C

Average understanding of terms. showed minimal effort in analyzing images.
Below average: D

below average understanding of terms. misuses terms frequentlly
Poor: F

shows no understanding of terminology or how to apply it.
Craftsmanship/ Skill
5 pts

Neatness, precision, care.

Extraordinary: A

Artwork was beautifully and patiently done; it was as good as hard work could make it.
Above average: B

With a little more effort, the work could have been outstanding; lacks the finishing craftsmanship and neatness.
Average: C

Student showed average craftsmanship; adequate, but not as good as it could have been; a bit careless.
Below average: D

Student showed below-average craftsmanship; lack of pride in finished artwork.
Poor: F

Student showed poor craftsmanship; evidence of laziness or total lack of understanding.
