	Non Proficient 1 pts	Nearing Proficient 2 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Advanced 4 pts
ANSWER	Non Proficient Answers are not in complete sentences. Answers are off-topic, does not address the prompt	Nearing Proficient Answers lack complete sentence structure. Answers attempts to respond to the prompt but may be random, generalized and without detail.	Proficient Answers in complete sentences using words from the prompt. Adequately answers the prompt.	Advanced Answers complete sentences using words from the prompt. Correctly answers all parts of the prompt.
CITE	Non Proficient Selected evidence does not support the answer. Does not include citations from the text.	Nearing Proficient Selected evidence that does not fully support, fit with the answer. Dumps direct quotation on the page with proper citation marks. Excessive copying of source.	Proficient Selected evidence that supports the answer. Uses proper citation format for direct quotation or paraphrasing with a few minor errors in punctuation.	Advanced Selected evidence that fully supports the answer.
