Descriptive Writing Rubric with Figurative Language
Students will describe an item in nature of their choice and describe it by using sensory details. Writing will be graded on capitalization, punctuation, use of main idea and supporting details, spelling, grammar usage, and figurative language such as with similes and personification. Also the writing may include metaphors.
